Once completed mail to: Chief Constable or fax to: 1-204-756-8159 or e-mail to: I expect applications to be received by December , review those applications in January and make a short list, interview in February ( usually a ratio of 3 interviews for every position available ), and inform the participants of the results by the end of February. March and April are used to order uniforms and organize training dates with WPS. Summer positions generally run from the 2nd week in May through to the long weekend in September. There are 5 summer positions to be filled every summer. I have had one member work for 5 consecutive summers while completing his University Football Scholarship in Alberta and he is now with WPS. As of this date ( 2011-FEB) there have been 14 VBP summer employees who have moved on to full-time Police positions in agencies all across Canada. |
